December saw the The Glam Rocks embark on their very first four-week overseas residency in the beautiful city of Eilat, sandwiched between Jordan and Egypt.
Our trip began with a journey over the Mediterranean flying to Tel Aviv. We we ready and excited for the shows which lay ahead.
The shows began and we loved every minute of it. Some nights we performed in school uniform as Jamie and The First Class, other nights we donned on our suits and boots and performed as our very popular outfit, The Zoots, and some nights we gave people quite the fright as we dressed up as The Glam Rocks.
December began to draw to a close in what felt like a blink of a heavily face-painted eye. And before we knew it, we we’re warming up to see in the New Year.
Spirits were high and the venue (The Three Monkeys) was packed as everyone was excited to say farewell to 2015 and hello to 2016. The guests did not know quite which band to expect and were just amazed when we were announced onto the stage dressed to thrill!
We knew it was going to be a great night, there wasn’t a spare seat anywhere! Fireworks and pyrotechnics were set up across the bay to entertain party goers when the bell tolled.
In between sets, we, The Glam Rocks, posed for photos and were interviewed by the local radio station EILAT 102 FM and local television.
Here are some photos from the night.
We had a fantastic few weeks in Eilat. When we had some free time during the day, we enjoyed sunbathing, relaxing and exploring the local area. We even headed out to the Dead Sea for a day, which was fantastic. Another day some of the boys went diving in The Red Sea.
We also enjoyed meeting some of our friends in the local ‘Ice Mall’. The Glam Rocks had lots of fun there and met some old friends Liat and Ellior with their child Gali.
The Glam Rocks met lots of lovely people at the venue.
We had a fantastic adventure and enjoyed every minute! Thank you so much to Snir and all the bar staff and everyone involved.
